Work Experience

Elder Dr. Francis Whiskeyjack School will offer Work Experience, allowing students to embark on an off-campus learning adventure. Through paid or voluntary roles, students explore potential career paths, gaining valuable on-the-job training while earning high school credits. The program equips students with job search strategies and tools, connecting them with a network of employers partnered with our school, as well as local, provincial, and national job databases.

Key features of our Work Experience Program include:

  • Flexibility: Students can join the program at any point during the year, including summer sessions.
  • Versatility: Both volunteer work and part-time employment are eligible.
  • Credit Opportunities: Students can earn up to 30 credits through Work Experience (credits are applicable towards high school graduation requirements).
  • Employer Recognition: Employers value the Work Experience program.
