Students wishing to continue their junior high French experience at Elder Dr. Francis Whiskeyjack School will continue to develop language and literacy skills in French and English, and use both to communicate. They will learn about French culture, traditions and celebrations along with hands on experiences such as French music and theatre.
Spanish Language and Culture builds student linguistic confidence and cultural awareness while focusing on reading, writing, listening and speaking. The three-year stream is for students beginning their Spanish language learning in high school. Over the course of three years they will develop skills in listening, speaking, writing and reading—along with an appreciation of the countries and culture associated with the Spanish language.
