Social Studies

Social Studies fosters lifelong learning among students through engaging activities, exploring current events and social issues, and promoting active citizenship. In addition to improving reading and writing skills, students are encouraged to deepen their understanding of their political, economic, and social beliefs, and to reflect on their role in the world. This includes identifying how they can contribute to making the world a better place.

Students will need to have Social Studies 30-1 or 30-2 to obtain their Alberta High School Diploma.
