Interactions

Interactions programming supports students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).  ASD is a developmental disorder that affects communication, behavior, and social interaction. Individuals with ASD may have challenges in social communication and interaction, as well as restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior, interests, or activities. The term "spectrum" reflects the wide variation in challenges and strengths that people with ASD can experience.

The Interactions program focuses on developing essential life skills such as communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation, which are fundamental for navigating both academic settings and daily life. Through structured routines, visual aids, and sensory accommodations, Interactions fosters a sense of predictability and comfort, reducing anxiety and promoting a positive learning experience. The program emphasizes the celebration of neurodiversity, fostering a culture of acceptance, respect, and appreciation for the unique strengths and abilities of each student.
