School Council
School councils are collaborative groups comprising parents, teachers, students, principals, staff, and community representatives, working collectively to bolster student learning. They offer a platform for engagement within the school community.
These councils serve a pivotal role by providing advice to the principal and school staff on educational matters, including program planning, budgets, and operations. Participation involves:
- Concentrating on educational concerns
- Contributing insights on various topics
- Acting as intermediaries between parents, the school, and community groups
- Sourcing resources like speakers and volunteers
- Sharing information and experiences
- Supporting the school's goals and objectives.
Through active involvement, school councils contribute significantly to enhancing educational quality and fostering a supportive learning environment for all students.
Each year in the fall, a school council establishment meeting will be held. We encourage parents and caregivers to become involved in our school council! Please watch SchoolZone for more information.
