2026-2027 Student Registration
NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION AND REGISTRATION FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
Pre-enrolment and registration update
Thanks to all the families who pre-enrolled before the deadline to help our school get ready for 2026–27!
We’re happy to let you know that, based on available space, all students who registered or pre-enrolled before March 25 have been accepted. We look forward to seeing your family in the fall!
Full in Planned Classes for 2026-2027 in Grade 12
Elder Dr. Francis Whiskeyjack School is full in planned classes for grade 12 in the Regular and the AP Program. We will now only accept resident students in Grade 12 who have newly moved into the school’s attendance area. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.
If your child is new to Edmonton Public Schools, you can register for school online. Visit the Division website to learn how to register for school.
If you have questions about registering, contact the school office.
Principal's Message
Welcome to Elder Dr. Francis Whiskeyjack School!
Together, we will build a school culture that is inspired and defined by the school’s namesake, Elder Dr. Francis Whiskeyjack. Elder Dr. Whiskeyjack is a trusted cultural advisor and elder and has guided countless educators and students in Edmonton Public Schools and other community organizations. He is committed to advocate on behalf of Indigenous people and in a spirit of inclusivity, encourages us all to ‘be proud of who you are, but be gentle with each other.
The values espoused by Elder Dr. Whiskeyjack are critically important to us as we come together as a community of students, educators, and parents with a shared educational goal.
Top notch academics, rich arts experiences, high quality athletics and a focus on wellness are the foundational components of our school. Additionally we are proud to offer engaging electives that ignite students' passions and will provide them with the skills and experiences to pursue satisfying careers. Above all, a safe, caring, welcoming and inclusive school culture will provide the foundation for all other learning to occur.
It’s an honor to be the new principal of this school and I look forward to walking alongside students, staff, families and community members as we continue to build our school culture and community together.
